"Wilksch for Cessna"
"Wilksch Airmotive Ltd and Atlantic Aeroengineering have decided to collaborate on a project to re-engine Cessna 150/152s with the Wilksch 120hp three cylinder diesel engine. The first production prototypes of the new generation Avtur burning engines are currently being assembled and the plan it to use the conversion partly as a means to certify the engine, and partly to act as a direct performance comparison with conventionally engined Cessnas.
Following successful tests and certification, Atlantic Aeroengineering propose to re engine their training fleet of two Cessnas and offer the conversion to interested parties. Details on the engine are sketchy at the moment, but we have been promised the full story in the next few months. Watch this space."
